Imelda Connolly is an Irish mixed -media artist who uses hand stitching and collage techniques to develop textile landscapes. In her work she uses a wide range of threads, wools, paints, fabrics, and found objects.

The landscape pieces that she produces are strongly influenced by the range of colours, textures and shapes found in mountains, rivers, seascapes, lakes and marshland settings.

Imelda Connolly is a member of the Surface Design Association, the European Textile Network and the Cork Textile Network. She has exhibited in many exhibitions in Ireland and Europe and is a Teaching Assistant with the Textileartist.org. Stitch Club.
